King, Ed. D

My Story

My name is Dr. Denise King. I humbly request your support and vote as I petition for a seat on the Willingboro Township School Board. I am running as a candidate for the school board because I believe that our students and educators deserve an improved learning environment.

For me, Every student matters. Every teacher and staff member matter. Every community partner matters. I know firsthand the importance of ensuring students receive a quality education based on their needs. I am a recently retired principal with over 30 years of experience in the field of education and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve our community. As a seasoned educational administrator, providing service above self continues to be my focus.

My philosophy of each one reach one, aligns to the heart of connecting with others. I am excited to have the opportunity to engage as a change agent, to partner and build relationships and to serve as a valuable resource on the school board. Every voice matters.  Every person matters. Helping to improve our educational system matters to me.

My core strengths include:

  • Effective liaison supporting articulation and professional development for county and state school leaders.

  • Demonstrated proficiency as an instructional learning leader focusing on meeting the needs of others.

  • Effective organizational skills, establishing and sustaining partnerships through collaborative and informational engagement.

As a mom and grandmother living in a generational household in Willingboro, I believe it is critical that we have a thriving student centered school system and engaging partnership with our community. Our schools must be safe, functional and conducive to learning for students and teachers. Every person matters.

"My focus is to effectively communicate with parents and community partners. Our district should promote collaboration, community engagement, resource sharing, responsiveness to community needs. By prioritizing and investing in effective communication practices, as school board members, we can create a strong foundation for educational excellence and ensure the success and well-being of every student and teacher."
